ARMZ Director General Vladimir Verkhovtsev Visits the Trans-Baikal Territory on a Working Trip

The head of the Mining Division attended a meeting at the Trans-Baikal Territory Ministry of Social, Economic, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Development in Chita. Vladimir Verkhovtsev discussed the current state of the Argun and Zherlovoye uranium fields development project (construction of Mine No. 6 of the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union). «The surface infrastructure at the main facility in Krasnokamensk has been completed, including mine water treatment facilities, an underground storage tank, pumping stations, a fire extinguishing station, an administrative and household block, and others. We are currently putting the equipment together and testing it, and once that is done, we will be able to start treating mine waters. The approved schedule will allow us to complete Mine No. 6 construction as planned,» says Vladimir Verkhovtsev.

The meeting focused on the development of Trans-Baikal’s growth centers, one of which is Krasnokamensk. It was proposed, in particular, to increase road construction at the expense of the road fund, as well as to attract federal funds for geological exploration in the region’s south-east, enabling exploitation of previously undiscovered solid mineral deposits.

Vladimir Verkhovtsev held several working meetings in Krasnokamensk, at subdivisions of E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC (part of the management circuit of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.).

The Urtuiskoye open cast mining office discussed issues such as optimizing coal reserves and the current state of open-pit mining in particular. The meeting participants paid special attention to the provision of the office with personnel and necessary equipment. In the railroad shop, a new 1200 horsepower shunting diesel locomotive was commissioned. Its purpose is to transport coal from a surface mine to the Krasnokamenskaya TPP as well as to perform shunting operations. New heavy-duty vehicles have been accepted at the united fleet site. They discussed increasing production of Argo PDM 140B loader-delivery trucks on lithium-ion batteries for PIMCU, PJSC and Russian mining companies at the mechanical-repair plant.

PIMCU, PJSC employees were also given the book titled «Mastery and Inspiration,» containing materials about their creative lives and hobbies, by the head of the Mining Division. «Not only do our coworkers work tirelessly on production, showing high performance and mastering new technologies,» explained Vladimir Verkhovtsev, «but they also express themselves through creativity, sports, and art.»

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
