Volunteers of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Took Part in #WEARETOGETHER Forum
Rosatom was the general partner of the Forum, and over 70 volunteers of nuclear industry companies were delegates from the State Corporation. The space of Manezh exhibition hall was divided into thematic zones and lecture halls, where panel discussions, classes, and thematic sessions were held on the main topics of the Forum: «Environmental Protection», «Social Support», «Education», «Culture», «Media», «Health», and «Sports». The business program of the Forum was attended by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, and Tatiana Terentyeva, Rosatom’s Deputy Director General for HR. Alexey Likhachev held a meeting with the industry volunteer movement leaders, where nuclear industry volunteers presented him a wide pool of social projects for environmental education, training, and socialization for people of «silver age», for helping children, etc. Alexey Likhachev gave volunteers advice on developing their projects and scaling up the best practices across the industry and thanked them for their daily work.
Igor Semenov, Chairman of the Board of ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC, spoke at this meeting. He told about the graffiti competition «Multicolored Krasnokamensk» held this year in the Trans-Baikal Territory. ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC provided financial support to creative young people, and the city was decorated with colorful graffiti on the topic «mining sector of the nuclear industry». Igor Semenov stated that «We have implemented a new form of working with city residents. We tried to speak in a modern youth’s language that Krasnokamensk has an innovative, state-of-the-art production facilities and an attractive employer. We have supported the social activities of the community, turning the industry towards the city, and we saw a response: our machine from graffiti has become a kind of photo zone.» The «Oak Grove» project by Andrey Averkin, a nuclear industry volunteer from PIMCU, PJSC (managed by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.), reached the final of the #WEARETOGETHER award in the «Green Country» nomination.
The «Uranium Capital of Russia» was presented by Iren Gordova, Anton Lopatin, and Sofia Yakutis — authors of videos «Life in a Zero Waste Style».
According to Alexey Shemetov, First Deputy Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., «Supporting social events and developing volunteering in the regions of our presence is very important to us. Social entrepreneurs and volunteers create new jobs, expand the range of services, resolve issues of environment protection and territory improvement, and sponsor leisure and sports activities. This means that together we improve the quality of life in the regions of our country.»
