PIMCU Reaches its Uranium Mining Annual Target Ahead of Schedule

Russia’s largest uranium mining enterprise produced approximately half of the metal vital to the nuclear industry. «The early delivery on the plan is the result of the orchestrated teamwork and high sense of responsibility. We should first of all thank those who descend into the mine day after day: stope miners, shaft sinkers, shaft timbermen, shotfirers, electric locomotive operators and many others.
We achieved such results thanks to efforts of every worker, including their compliance with HSE policies,» says Ivan Kiselev, Director General, E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC.
In total, eight stopes were put into operation at mines No. 1 and 8 in 2021. PIMCU shaft sinking department continues secondary development to improve future resource portfolio. The construction of mine No. 6 is under way and on schedule.
