Part of Business Trip: Vladimir Verkhovtsev Visited Trans-Baikal and Buryatia Uranium Mining Enterprises

Increasing the wages for employees of Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC (E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC managed by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.) is the key decision made following the meetings at the Russia’s largest uranium mining enterprise. In 2022, the wages will be increased in two stages: from February 1st and from May 1st. The relevant PIMCU services have already started recalculations.
At a meeting with PIMCU’s foremen, Vladimir Verkhovtsev thanked the team for implementing 2021 production program. He emphasized that, in 2022, they face even more ambitious tasks: «We have to work even more efficiently. We cannot but rejoice at the rise in the uranium price in the world spot market. This means that our products are in high demand».
The meeting devoted to implementing the major PIMCU investment project was held at the construction site of Mine No. 6. Ivan Kiselev, PIMCU Director General, reported on the progress of work. He stated that comprehensive tests of mine water treatment facilities had already been carried out, allowing for cleaning 1,500 cubic meters of water per hour. A voltage of 6 kV is supplied from the main step-down substation to the temporary water drainage from 20R mine shaft according to the design layout. Works are underway at the tipple facilities: the pile driver of 19RESh tipple building has been completed; a hoisting machine for 20V mine shaft has been purchased and delivered. Vladimir Verkhovtsev drew attention to the need for strict observance of safety requirements when carrying out all types of work.
A meeting held at Khiagda, JSC discussed the prospects for the uranium mining development in the Republic of Buryatia in 2022. The head of Rosatom’s Mining Division inspected the main facility of the production site in the Bauntovsky-Evenki District of Buryatia. Vladimir Verkhovtsev: «The work pace is good. Today, the main thing for us is to implement the production program at the proper level.»
