A three-year contract for the works was signed with Bystrinsky Mining and Concentration Plant (part of Norilsk Nickel Group). «This is one of the largest long-term external contracts in the history of RUSBURMASH, JSC. We will perform core drilling of in-fill drilling wells for gold ores and multimetal ores. In total, over three years it is planned to drill more than 63 thousand linear meters of wells, perform well logging operations. Based on the results of in-mine exploration, the customer will make decisions on the development of Bystrinsky-2 and Verkhne-Ildikansky open-pit mines’ reserves,» said Gleb Nosyrev, Director General of RUSBURMASH, JSC.
RUSBURMASH, JSC will use DX-5C and CS-14 core rigs to perform the works. This will allow drilling the entire range of required in-mine exploration wells: down to 100 m, 100 to 300 m, 300 to 500 m and deeper than 500 m. Within the framework of the contract, people are not forgotten either: the staff of RUSBURMASH, JSC will have the possibility to live at the rotation camp of Bystrinsky GOK and have meals at the dining facilities.
The new long-term contract is the continuation of cooperation between RUSBURMASH, JSC and Norilsk Nickel Group. Previously, a special-purpose company of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. performed hydrogeological investigations at the deposits of copper-nickel sulfide ores of Kolskaya Mining and Metallurgical Company (subsidiary of MMC «Norilsk Nickel», PJSC). Based on the results of the investigations, the customer was able to involve reserves in the development to maintain ore production volumes at the Severny-Glubokiy mine.
