Kurgan Region: RUSBURMASH Continues Construction at Dobrovolnoye Deposit
The work is carried out by order of Dalur, JSC. A pilot production site for uranium in-situ leaching will be fully developed on the deposit territory. Process building, administrative and amenity building, warehouses and other facilities will be built there. «Foundation work has been completed, about 650 cubic meters of concrete have been poured. We are starting to erect buildings and structures, the administrative and amenity building has already been developed, and interior finishing work is underway in it,» said Gleb Nosyrev, Director General, RUSBURMASH, JSC.
It should be noted that the design documents and the results of engineering surveys for the pilot production site development received a positive opinion No. 45-1-1-3-001048-2020 from the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia. The right to use Dobrovolnoye subsoil plot of federal significance for the exploration and production of uranium was granted to Dalur, JSC in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1131-р published on 30 May 2017. In 2018-2019, based on the results of public hearings, local residents approved plans of Dalur, JSC to develop the Dobrovolnoye deposit. Construction and pilot work are not provided in the Tobol River area affected during river floods.
«In terms of scale, the Dobrovolnoye deposit is comparable to the Dalmatovskoye deposit, which we have been developing since 1984. The arrangement of production in the Zverinogolovsky district will create over 300 new jobs and provide the nuclear industry with strategic metal for several decades. The deposit is ribbon-like, the total length of uranium mineralization is about 18 km,» said Dinis Ezhurov, Director General, Dalur, JSC.
The start of uranium production at the pilot site is scheduled for December 2022.
