Rosatom Mining Division OHS & Radiation Safety Officers Trained at PIMCU
Experts from PIMCU and ANO «Rosatom Corporate Academy» held a training course for coaches to representatives of Khiagda, JSC, Dalur, JSC, RUSBURMASH, JSC and PIMCU, PJSC under the Occupational Safety and Health Culture program for internal coaches.
The course participants were taught classes in Safety Audit, Accident Investigation, Meetings and Calls Rules and other topics. «We were discussing emergency cases, learning how to develop the right stand in relationships with employees and looking for effective ways to communicate with different types of people. In the training courses, we learn how to explain to colleagues that occupational safety and health culture is a matter of importance and how to do this work systematically,» said Innessa Prazdnikova, Lead OHS Officer, PIMCU, PJSC.
«Occupational safety and health is a paramount issue faced by managers of any level. I am confident that the course participants have successfully mastered the means that will help them educate their work fellows and create attitudes towards safety as a fundamental core value,» said Marina Aleksanova, a coach of Rosatom Corporate Academy. Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation joined Vision Zero program in 2019. In the same year, they created the Nuclear Industry Council for Occupational Safety and Health Culture and launched an industry-specific safe behavior program aiming to completely avoid accidents that may cause fatalities and serious consequences in the workplace, primarily by developing a climate of trust and safety consciousness among workers.
