ARMZSkills-2022 Finished in Krasnokamensk

Derby in competencies, such as Welding Technologies, Analytical Control, Special Car Driver and Radiation Control, have been holding in Krasnokamensk, at the production site of Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC (E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC, managed by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.), all week.

The ARMZSkills-2022 award ceremony took place in the Dauria Palace of Culture. «During these pretty hard days, the participants and experts proved themselves to be real fighters, demonstrated their skills and gained new experiences. Now you may train others in your workplaces and in the training centers so that they become as skillful as you are. You will have then to carefully prepare yourselves for the industry competition in order to show your high professionalism and win,» said Ivan Reva, Deputy Director General for Special Projects of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

Anton Gorlachev (Khiagda, JSC) won the Special Car Driver contest, while Vyacheslav Noskov (PIMCU, PJSC) was the second place winner and Vadim Ableev (PIMCU, PJSC) won the third place award.

On the first competition day, the drivers were passing the exam using Forsage-5.1 car driving simulator with a 180-degree panoramic view screen. In the second module, the competition participants should have found 20 man-created faults in a Kamaz truck in five minutes. In addition, the drivers demonstrated their skills in providing first aid, driving a truck along a proposed route, etc. «It is not the first time that I have taken part in ARMZSkills. The level of competitors’ skills and the competition has been increasing year after year, with more and more modules appearing. The most interesting thing to me was the task of finding car faults, when you should have shown your skills, attention, and speed,» says the award winner Anton Gorlachev. The Analytical Control was won by Svetlana Yanysheva (PIMCU, PJSC) with Tatyana Verbitskaya (PIMCU, PJSC) as the second place winner and Galina Dergunova (Khiagda, JSC) as the third place winner.

The competitions in this category were held on the training site belonging to PIMCU’s Central Research Laboratory. «This year, the tasks are as close to the modules of the industrial vocational skill championship, which takes place in Yekaterinburg, as possible. We have taken every effort to prepare the training ground and have equipped it with all necessary things, such as analytical balances and weighing scales, photoelectric colorimeters, conductivity apparatuses, special furniture, laboratory glassware and other equipment,» said Chief Analytical Control Expert Tatyana Postnikova.

Oleg Kozlov (PIMCU, PJSC) was recognized as the best electric gas welder, the second place winner was Ilya Stramilov (PIMCU, PJSC) and the third place award was won by Aleksandr Borodin (RUSBURMASH, JSC). The contestants proved to be able to skillfully perform all types of joint welding for open and closed structures and vertical, inclined and girth welds. All the participants were well prepared, which was proved by vacuum testing. So the determining factor was the time during which they performed the tasks.

«In 2019, I won the third place award, then the second, and this year I am the first place winner. The responsibility was great, so I am glad that I was able to control my excitement and emotions. I am sure that you should not stop where you are and that it is necessary to develop and improve one’s skills,» said the winner Oleg Kozlov. In the Radiation Control competence, the first place winner was Anna Mekhontseva (Dalur, JSC), while the second place and the third place awards were won by Natalia Nikonova (Dalur, JSC) and Nadezhda Nikitina (PIMCU, PJSC), respectively.

«The tasks in this competence are quite difficult. I have participated in the competitions three times, so I know from my own experience that this is a great responsibility and it is not easy,» said expert Aleksandr Vdovin. Indeed, the participants in the Radiation Control competence were addressing tasks of five modules; in two of them they were identifying sources of ionizing radiation, while the most difficult, in the opinion of the participants, was cargo radioactive labeling module.

When the closing ceremony was over, the ARMZSkills flag was handed over to RUSBURMASH, JSC. In the upcoming year, the specialized drilling and mineral exploration company of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. will host the next vocational skills championship of Rosatom Mining Division.
