Rosatom Mining Division Companies Celebrated 77th Anniversary of Great Patriotic War Victory


Krasnokamensk (Trans-Baikal Territory) hosted the traditional procession of labor teams of the backbone enterprise E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC and other companies. In total, over 7 thousand people took part in the solemn procession.

The column was led by the famous group of the guard of honor from Zarnitsa (Summer Lightning) military patriotic club at the PIMCU’s primary trade union organization, Youth Army units of the National Military Patriotic Public Initiative for Children and Youth, cadet classes, and a group of drummer girls. Teams of PIMCU structural divisions marched in a united, tight ranks headed by Director General Ivan Kiselev and Director of the Drilling Office of RUSBURMASH, JSC. The «Immortal Regiment» closed the victorious march. This memorial action took place after a two-year break caused by coronavirus restrictions. The successors of winners carried portraits of their fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers, heroes of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, and participants in local conflicts. They told each other the frontline stories of their ancestors and sang wartime songs. On the eve of the Victory Day, employees of Khiagda, JSC installed the Banner of Victory on the building of the sulfuric acid plant in the Republic of Buryatia to honor the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The tradition of hoisting assault flags dates back to the war years. It originated during offensive operations and liberation or capture of settlements. Anatoly Tregub, the Head of In-Situ Leaching Workshop, Khiagda, JSC: «Today, the Banner of Victory is a symbol of the unconditional triumph of the Soviet troops over Nazism, a reminder of the Great Patriotic War, our gratitude to the ancestors, and a good lesson for the current generation.» Volunteers from all Division’s companies took part in congratulating veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Following a good tradition, in the Village of Romanovka, Bauntovsky-Evenki District, employees of Khiagda, JSC presented valuable gifts to participants of the labor front in honor of Victory Day. At the initiative of Dalur, JSC, food packages were handed over to home front workers in the Dalmatovsky and Shumikhinsky Districts, Kurgan Region.

In a warm and cordial atmosphere, representatives of the PIMCU Youth Council presented congratulatory addresses and gifts to veterans, widows of war veterans, and home front workers on behalf of the Association’s managers and the PIMCU’s primary trade union organization. Congratulations to veterans also took place in Moscow with the involvement of employees from Atomredmetzoloto, JSC (ARMZ), RUSBURMASH, JSC, and VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC.

At the initiative of the PIMCU Youth Council, they conducted «St.George Ribbon» master classes and a bike ride to the places of military glory in the Kurgan Region; apple trees with the characteristic name of «Good News» were planted near the office. The events were also held in the online format which has already become a tradition. People from different regions were united by the Division’s action «Frontline Heroes». The stories of ARMZ employees’ relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War were broadcast at all Holding’s companies on the eve of May 9th. They became part of the Uranium Holding Co. unified memory tape dedicated to the heroes of those terrible years. Vladimir Verkhovtsev, ARMZ Director General: «Our task is to save and preserve the historical truth about those harsh years for future generations. Our conscience and duty to the fallen and survivors of the war will not allow us to forget the heroic and tragic page in the annals of our state».
