In 2022, Dalur to Finance Reforestation of over 250 Hectares in Kurgan Region

Dinis Ezhurov, Director General of the uranium mining company, reported this plan in his speech at the plenary session of the 2nd Trans-Urals Ecological Scientific and Public Forum.
«Our business is an environmentally responsible subsoil user. We must contribute to protecting the nature of our native land, so we decided to support the reforestation program. Comprehensive reforestation, which includes planting coniferous seedlings, must be increased because of natural fires in the region. Reforestation on an area of about 100 hectares has already been coordinated with the Department of Civil Security, Environmental Protection, and Natural Resources of the Kurgan Region. The project for an area of about 150 hectares is now under consideration», Dinis Ezhurov said.
Let us remind you that, last year, as part of the reforestation programs in the Kurgan Region, Dalur, JSC financed planting two-year pine seedlings in Kataysk and Shatrovo Districts, as well as at the Stary Prosvet site in Kurgan. The total reforestation area was about 80 hectares.
The 2nd Trans-Urals Ecological Scientific and Public Forum is sponsored by the Government of the region and the Kurgan Branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). According to Valery Yakhontov, Director of the RANEPA Branch in Kurgan, «Dalur has assumed a very high social responsibility; it improves the quality of the environment and helps a lot in raising the quality of life in the areas of its operations.»
