ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Planted Lilacs in Moscow’s Alley of Glory
Rosatom Mining Division held a civic and patriotic action, which was called the Memory of Generations, in the Chertanovka Riverside Park to mark its 15th anniversary. Representatives of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. and VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC opened the Alley of Glory dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (World War II) and planted lilac bushes.
The action was also attended by deputies of the Moskvorechye-Saburovo District, veteran organizations, and cadet corps. They planted a total of three dozen lilac bushes: by number of years for which the district veteran’s organization has existed.
The participants were welcomed by Alexey Shemetov, First Deputy Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. He thanked the war veterans who brought the Victory Day ever closer with their exploits and feats of arms. «With today’s event, we are contributing to the international campaign of the Memory Garden. There will be 27 million trees planted in memory of every one of those 27 million people who died during the Great Patriotic War,» said Alexey Shemetov.
The celebratory event also featured performances by young singers, dancers, and creative groups of Moscow, while the veterans received commemorative gifts from ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
